Hi,

This post says something your original post did not - GATEWAY

Did you move over the power supply also? Are all leads to the main board
connected?
If I'm not mistaken, and I could be, I think Gateway, like Dell, use a power
supply that
Is somewhat proprietary to their main board. Was it a gateway main board or
a clone board?

Thanks and have a Great Day!

Joe Lore

Subject: [PCBUILD] No video

Someone suggested that I remove my video card, use canned air to blow out
the AGP slot and clean the contacts on the card to restore video. I did
that and nothing happened: still no video. I have reseated the card upteen
times (cleaned slot and contacts), checked the video cable and LCD monitor,
both about 4 months old and working fine the day before I moved the guts of
my kid's computer from a broken proprietary Gateway box to a new one. I
have a feeling the video card got fried when I dropped it contacts down on
the metal frame of the old box. I am looking for an nVidia Geforce 2 MX 400
with 32 or 64 Mb memory. I found one for $25 and will likely get that
unless someone has one available (that works) for less. Still open to
suggestions.
