Hi RIchard,
I'm assuming you can boot up normally, and this happens after a certain
amount of time., correct?
Without knowing exactly what processor you have, I'd be most likely to
say it sounds like it's overheating. The newer processors (AMDs
especially, but a Pentium 4 also) are very heat sensitive, and need a lot
of cooling power.
Is it possible that one of the fans (or their connectors) came loose as it
was brought back from the shop? If you're comfortable opening the case,
check and see if that's the problem.
It's also possible that this kit (it would help to have more info on what
came with it) just didn't have enough cooling power supplied in the first
place.
If you bought this kit from the shop that built it, I'd certainly give them a
call and have them fix the problem.

I have just had a new PC built for my 11 year old son.
The PC came in kit form but the shop built it for me free of charge. I
have just tried using it for the first time and it keeps clicking and
then rebooting. THis has happend while in internet explorer and while
trying to play two games which we have just loaded loaded.
