       Canon and Lexmark are also very easy to refill..the Lexmarks also

come with a head on each cartridge, but you do pay for that in the
cartridge costs. They can usually be refilled sucessfully 4 to 6 times,
before the print head wears out. I use one and it's been great, so far.
Different Canon models have replaceable or non-replaceable print heads.
We have a #4300, which uses little "tubs" of ink. They have a somewhat
limited life. They're small, but cheap and pretty easy to refill.
  I seriously doubt if there is any way you can achieve the per-print
cost that you have now with ANY other printer, but you may enjoy the
added speed and all of the bright colors an inkjet will provide! B.T.W.
we have an  Epson FX-286e at my business that has been going for years,
we still use frequently. Why not have BOTH types of printers connected!!
