Hello all, I would like to ask your help on dealing with hard drive
mounting in windows xp pro. I just built two new systems, one was for my
son and the other is for my union hall. They both are completly new builds
with a new os on both. The hd's in the new builds are serial hd's and all
is well with both builds. What I need to do in both instances is to
recover data from the old hd that were in the old systems, both are ide
hd's, and both have operating systems installed on them. I hooked up my
sons old hd to the ide port and booted but the computer then tried to boot
from the old hd instead of the new serial hd.Obviously his old drive would
not boot due to some corruption in the os. Any way if anyone could
instruct me on how to mount the drives and retreive data from them I would
sincerly appreciate it. Also on the Union halls computer I would like to
set the old ide drive up as a mirror drive after retreiving and copying
the info on to the new hd. Thanks for your help in advance,
 Scott M.
