I have used the reply below, but ONLY when ALL the drives in
question were originally installed as stand alone drives with NO
other boot drive or (muti-boot loader) in or on the system...
Once Windows sets up anything other than a "default" boot.ini file
in the root directory of each boot drive, the situation becomes different.

Also, if the OS is installed on a drive that is not properly known
as the default "C" drive (in other words, it is assigned a different
drive letter during and after the OS installation), then things REALLY
get hairy to fix (if at all possible...)

                               Good luck,

I have recently had to do this type of change on my computer as well. You
will need to go into your bios to change the 'location' that the system
looks first, for the boot drive. Depending on your mother board/bios you
would need to direct your system as to were to look, i.e. cmos settings or
advanced bios settings. If you have your motherboard manual, I would expect
it would be able to tell you specifically where to find those settings on
your particular system.

Recently I installed a 300gb SATA HD in my Intel 850 MB system, and
installed a fresh copy of MS XP SP2 on it.. I had left the original 60GB
boot drive C in place. Now I must have the 60GB drive in place, and cannot
have a third rive installed because the boot sequence, which gives a choice
of 4 OS to boot from, is on it. How can I haave the 300gb drive be the only
drive and boot from it? (of course I could reinstall the OS I know).
