My first question is what type of format did you do? Quick or the time
consuming full? Full will flag and remove any bad sectors. It seems you
could have some bad section since you have that type of error. I would
run a full format having bad sectors prompted, if allowed, instead of
repair auto.

When I first built it, I installed Windows Vista as a test operating system to ensure that everything worked correctly, which it did. The problem came when I tried to downgrade to Windows XP for my parents. After formatting the hard drive and copying over most of the files (random files on the CD have problems copying each time I try to format/install) I get a blue screen with a hardware error. These are also seemingly random, I've gotten things from incompatible video drivers to bad boot sector errors. This is my second hard drive, because the first, after installing Vista, would not even format after a while of this. If anyone could offer assistance, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.
