  Your current BIOS and OS *might* not directly support a full 80 GB, but
there are fixes for both of those.
  Your old drive should work as a slave.  Rather than creating an icon for
it, you might find it more convenient to add shortcuts to those programs to
your Start Menu.  (Some of them might rely on registry settings or stored
path information, and so you may need to re-install them or manually update
their configurations, but this is doable.)
