Hi Everyone :
I was booting into Vista RC1 crashed and messed up the bios-- it kinda hiccupped I was able to save XP but on the other partition on Vista is gone bye bye- it was going pretty good-- there for quite awhile but this is not the first time <G> -I haven't hooked up the other Sata HDDS I still have to check the OS's on them yet but everything so is going okay for now the IDE Pata is sailing along pretty good I was scratching my head for abit there I thought I would have to clear the CMOS -if that didn't work I still have a warranty on the Asus motherboard if I had to go further--I do have a backup for the bios incase it got corrupted but the del or F8 wouldn't work --either- I am familiar with the bios as I build my own machines, I was wondering -before I sent out the email I had already reseated almost everything it was still the same--I was thinking it might be the power supply it's an Enermax 500 watts it is a good make - so this time I took everything out -- checking all the wiring included the CPU-- fans, adapters and all the cards , memory etc-- and the rest of the bios came back -you know it doesn't hurt to ask sometimes- ideas and suggestions are important--even for a verification or a memory lapse<G> I really like this list-- good people always willing to help.... Anyways its been a hectic week and half I had to deal with a flooded basement on top of that the plastic connection broke of the steel flexi part that connects to the toilet everything is less than two years old there -- including the rec room yuuuckkk what a mess - about 150 gallons of water--we pumped out -- going to install a water alarm --good thing my office is upstairs -- anyhow its all getting together . You all have a great day and thank you for all your suggestions and your help I really appreciated it-- Jackie
