There could be various reasons/causes for this 'A-drive' activity and...
Sergio might be right.  However, I believe an extreme caution should also be
given to Becky that Registry files are critical files and should be treated
as such.  If Becky's PC experience is "Not much better than novice
user......." as she indicated below, I would strongly advice her to seek a
professional help (or ask someone who knows and understands) in dealing with
Windows' Registry.  "Smile!"
