I don't suspect the MB battery at this point as the MB (ABIT BH-6) is just a
little over a year old. I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't a failing power
supply.  Will check these both out & let you know how it turns out!

I've also received a suggestion that the error message I quoted  relates to
a dead/dying CMOS battery, and a replacement might be the fix.  I'm
currently on-the-road so it'll be some days before I get back to that
headache.
