I gave up on Magicjack and have returned it. My headset work fine. My problem now is that my USB Speaker (which I love) has the same unintelligible sound, whether it is plugged into the front or rear USBs (except for the WinXP opening music - it plays that beautifully). I don't know what the Magic Jack could have done to cause this - I restored my system drive (Acronis True Image) back to a time before I bought the Magic Jack, to no effect.

I'm hoping it isn't the sound card (onboard) because it would be no help to me to replace it, since my USB speaker would not work then anyway - haven't seen a sound card with a USB output.

Grateful for any help, (running XP SP2 - original details at bottom, at beginning.

In Windows XP The Splash Screen goes away when you use the X but the program stays running.
It will pop open everytime you use the phone. Poor Programing. --Dave
