I have just built a PII 400 with an Intel SE440BX board and 64MB Ram. The
machine does not seem all that much faster than my old PI 133 and there seem
to be some problems upon bootup. Each time it boots up I get two beeps after
the system has detected the drives. When I check the bios event log there is
nothing there but I have to press F1 to resume booting each time. The boot
process also seems to take a long time. The machine does have a lot of
devices. NIC card, 2-scsi cd-roms, 1-IDE drive and one scsi drive, scsi zip,
and tape drive. I have flashed the bios with the latest update. Has anyone
had this happen with this board?
