I resolved the problem.
I did not properly wire the power switch, and the small power cable was off
the motherboard connector. I powered up again. This time the monitor came to
life, advising me what was installed in the computer. It was a beautiful
sight.
I still have to find out why the neon light in front of the case is not
functioning. Also, I am not sure if I wired the front panel USB port
correctly. I will be able to use the rear USB ports in the mean time.
I now have to install the floppy drive, software, the operating system, and
hope for the best. I guess the first build is always the most difficult one
