Hello:

I am new to the list and am interested in installing multiple operating
systems on one of my PCs. The PC originally came with Windows ME, and I am
interested in installing Red Hat Linux 7.2 (I have the CDs), and possibly
OS/2 (I have OS/2 Warp 3, which I'm not certain will work anyway). I am
doing this as a training exercise for my teenagers, and because I want to
see how it is done. I want to be able to do it over and over again, with
procedures written for the process.

I have already used Maxtor Powermax to low level format the drive, then ran
FDISK and Format just so I could re-install Windows ME. I'm ready to start
over for multiple operating systems. I have reviewed information on FDISK,
partitioning, file systems and multiple operating systems, and am still
uncertain of the approach. I have a 57gig hard drive and am trying to narrow
done the best approach for carving it up to support Windows ME, OS/2 and
Linux. I would appreciate references to any available documentation that
specifically addresses these operating systems sharing one large hard drive.

Thank you.
