OK, now here is another question. All that being said about caches and
speeds, what is the performance difference between say, a PII or III at the
same speed as a Celeron, say both in the 400 or 450 range, with the
difference being the 100Mhz FSB vs. 66FSB? Does the FSB speed effect the
performance or are all things equal more or less still?
Reason for the question is, I am about to upgrade my PII233 to probably a
PIII450. From what you two are saying it sounds like I'd get about the same
performance out of a Celeron 466 or 500 with an adapter in my Abit BX6, but
with out the new instructions.  Is this the gist of this? Since a Celeron is
just a bit cheaper than a PIII 450. Just trying to get educated. Thanks.
