Looking at a new Dell with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, Vista 32-bit OS and 4 GB of DDR2 800 MHz RAM. Can spec it with Corsair RAM for an additional $350. Major use will be email and the web but want to edit video from camcorder too. Is it worth it? Don't know who makes the standard RAM, just want to make sure video streams of political debates and documentarys is smooth and in-sync with the audio.

Video card - Looking at either NVIDIA's 9800GT or the ATI HD 4850 video card. Think both cards have 512 MB video RAM. Not sure if I need 128, 256 or 512 MB video RAM for my video applications.

Thanks,

Tom
