The problem with manual switch boxes is they don't always emulate the mouse
so you can lose the pointer in transition between computers. I had one
originally but went to a "real" KVM when that became more trouble than it
was worth. Especially true with newer mice with many functions. A good KVM
will state that it emulates mice when not in use on that channel.

Buy yourself a manual switchbox in any computer-supply store.
You've seen switchboxes for using two or more printers with one computer.
This switchbox looks exactly the same from the front, but the ports in the
back are made for a combination of three items - the monitor, keyboard, and
mouse.
