  Maybe.  But they will actually be running at the same speed --
either you will be underclocking the fast one, or overclocking the
slow one; or both....

  Intel's recommendation, at least in those days, was that paired
CPUs match not only in speed and cache size, but be within one
revision step of each other.  More diverse combinations may work, but
Intel won't have any sympathy for you if they don't.
