Without knowing anything about your mobo than what's in this message, logic dictates that you will either need powered speakers or an amp. If powered speakers worked OK with this board while non-powered speakers do not, you should either buy an amp, get good powered speakers, or disable the onboard sound so you can install a real sound card.
