Although I have never used Direct CD, it came with my CD Writer. The manual
is quite specific that it works with both CD-R and CD-RW disks. Everything
Cesar says is true. You can move, delete, rename, etc files on either. On a
CD-RW, it performs the actual operations. On a CD-R deleted files are made
invisible and the disk space is lost. Now that I have read the manual, it
seems worth a try. Check out the web site www.adeptec.com  for more details.
