If that is the case then I would recommend an external modem with an
ethernet card. It will make things much easier if in case you are not
satisfied with the modem you have and want to get a new one, or if later on
there are more services available in your area and you wish to change. Once
you have the network card it is only a matter of changing modems if the need
arises.
