I would think that a 500 watt, plus power supply would be enough, even for a
dual video card system, assuming that we are talking about a good quality
power supply, like Antec's. There are a few power supply models that are
aimed at a SLI rig in that they include an extra set of video card power
connectors. Enermax makes a fairly affordable 530 watt model like this and
PC Power and Cooling makes a rather more expensive 510 watt version with
dual video card wires.

You'll probably want to make sure that you are getting a 2.0 ATX version PS,
since you'll be able to use the 24 pin main power connector on that PCI-E
motherboard.

Otherwise, OCZ's powerstream line of power supplies has been getting good
reviews. I mention them just because they might not otherwise stand out
among the usual suspects (Antec, Enermax, and PC Power and Cooling). It
should be noted that the PowerStream power supply is of slightly bigger
dimensions than most power supplies (longer), which might be a problem with
a small case.

Subject: [PCBUILD] PSU (Power Supply question)

HI, im planning on building an SLI computer. The specs are.
Motherboard - ASUS "A8N-SLI Deluxe" nForce4 SLI Chipset Motherboard
For AMD Socket 939 CPU
CD - DvD drive and dvd rewrite
Fans - 1x 120 mm fan 4x 50mm
HardDrives - Western Digital Raptor 74GB 10,000RPM SATA Hard Drive
WD Caviar Series 250GB 7200RPM SATA
Processor - AMD Athlon 64 3800+
And VideoCards - 2x Leadtek 6800gt's Pci - Express x 16

I was reading up and for one video card alone a 350 watt psu is
reccomended, so i was wondering about two. currently i am planning on
getting the Antec 550 Watt PSU

Would this be addequete to power this? If not any ideas on what to
switch to Thanks!
