I recently needed to do this, and found that one of my local surplus
electronics stores had a bunch of Antec "Easy USB" units for about $6
apiece. They're basically a plastic frame and bezel that will hold a 3.5"
hard drive and fit in a 5.25" bay. But they hold the driove off-center to
one side so as to also provide two USB jacks which connect to the common
header pins on many new motherboards.
With the typical rail kit running about $5 apiece, I considered this an
excellent value.
