Looking to up-grade an older MSI MB with a 478 Socket. Saw this notice on a P4 CPU on eBay. Main question is if this is true, how would I know a CPU is "Prescott Core", if the listing doesn't say it is a "Prescott Core", besides asking each seller? Also, how would I know if the MB "will" support a "Prescott Core"? Will call MSI but thought I'd post here first.

Please note:  If you have an older Pentium 4 system (running at 1.6 GHz or so) and are hoping to upgrade the CPU, one of these will NOT work.  Geeks call these CPUs "Prescott Core", which means they use faster memory, more internal memory and a newer chipset than your older motherboard has or can support.
