I'm no expert, however, tech support for my machine made by
Cyber Max told me to turn it off every day. I use my box approx.
2-3 hrs. per day in the evening and night. Is there another issue
here besides power consumption and startup shocks to the
system such as memory leaks and other software transgressions?
