One question to consider is WHY do you want to partition the drive. If you
decide that you do want to partition it, you can do so without disturbing
the existing XP installation by using a program such as Partition Magic.
These utility programs allow you to change the size of a partition
dynamically. It usually works fine, but there is some risk to it. Be sure
all your important information is backed up.
