If you have an ATX mobo and connector it should snap into place when firmly pushed in.  There is a plastic catch that may have broken off. Short of putting electrician's tape on it to hold it in place, there really isn't much to be done if the plastic lever is broken or if the plug itself is loose on the mobo.  The cost of having that fixed would be about the same as a new mobo unless you're a qualified technician.
