Hi Rob,

Nothing happens when you click "New" on the Job menu because nothing is
selected for backup at that point. In other words, you are already looking
at a 'new job'. If you have several items checked in the boxes below and
decide that's not what you want, the "New" option is a quick way to clear
all checked items and start over. Check the Help option on the menu and
search for "Backup" in the Help and Support Center on the Start menu for
additional information. Also check the following:

How to back up, edit, and restore the registry in Windows XP and Windows
Server 2003:

Subject: [PCBUILD] XP Registry backup

I did the following, in an effort to back up the XP Pro registry and
associated files, but have repeatedly failed at New. What to do, please?

1 .Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, point to System
Tools, and then click Backup. The Backup or Restore Wizard starts.
2. Click Advanced Mode.
3. Click the Backup tab.
4. On the Job menu, click New
