Hi:
I think I am ready to give up on this machine. It is a Compaq Deskpro EP 6450 Plll 450. I have tried several times to add more memory. I tried again to install 128 megs of ram into the machine.(It presently has 64) I was told by the re-seller that it would be compatible. The screen froze. I moved the memory to different slots. The only way I could get the computer to function, was to remove the newly added memory. I was once told by Compaq that only their brand would work. I am starting to believe that this is the case. There proprietary memory is so expensive, that it would ludicrous to invest in it. Is there any memory out there that will function with this machine?

Thanks
