If you go to www.pcpowerandcooling.com, there is a diagram on which pins to connect to test a power
supply (not a great test, but it sometimes works).  I doubt if it will run without a load.  If you have
an old hard drive, or something that would take some current, it would probably work ok.

I just purchased a power supply that I was thinking of using in a new acrylic case with built in LED
lights, trouble is I have no motherboard yet and I want to turn on the power supply (it has no switch in
back) and see how it works with the LED lights and all.
It is a new 500 watt ATX PS.  I was told that there was a way to jump some pins on the 20 pin connector
to get it to turn on, anybody know about this?
