You are buying a new Dell computer, correct, and it comes with 4GB of
RAM. And if you want to pay an additional $350 you can get it with
Corsair RAM. Do I have it right?

If I do have it right, then the answer is don't bother. The only
possible reason you would do such a thing is if you were planning to
overclock your system, and you are not going to want, or need to do
that. The RAM that comes with your Dell will be quality name brand
RAM, like Crucial, Samsung, or Kingston. What ever they put in their
PC is going be fine for you needs.

for any kind of video of HD work you will be better off with the 4850
which is going to come with 512MB...they don't make it with
less. 512MB going to be helpful with video editing. You might want
to get a 4870, if they offer it. They are quite a bit faster
and only about thirty or forty dollars more retail so they shouldn't
charge you too much more, and if they do I would barter with them.

  Good luck,
