I'm building a new system using the Intel D875PBZ motherboard and I'm in a
bit of a conundrum concerning which processor I will use.

At first I was going to use the Pentium 4/3.2 GHz 800MHz FSB, 512K Cache,
Hyper Threading in the Northwood core. In the last week the price on this
chip has actually gone *up* about $20; figure that one out.

Now I'm thinking about the Pentium 4/3.2 GHz 800MHz FSB, 1MB L2 Cache, Hyper
Threading in the Prescott core. It's about $10 to $15 cheaper but the price
isn't the issue.

I'm trying to figure out what the best chip would be for my situation. The
system I'm building will be used mainly for graphics work using Photoshop
and web development and word processing. I've seen various bench-marks
comparing the two processors and even with the 1MB L2 Cache the Prescott
core seems to come up a bit short in comparison to the Northwood core but
I'm thinking that may be mostly in gaming comparisons; something I don't
really care about.

Do many of you have much real world experience concerning the above
mentioned processors and how they compare?

Any info and or advice would be greatly appreciated.
