Hi Jim,
Had (have) the same problem with HP of all people.
They won't support the older (820 series) of Inkjet.
MS W2K comes with a generic for HP, but it does not allow duplex (both side)
printing.
SOLUTION: FINEPRINT (do a internet search (Google.com). The demo is fully
functional up to 10page limit each printing session. Have to do mult.
sessions to print more than 10 pages or just buy it.

Fineprint is a commercial inexpensive ($30.) utility for all printers. Has a
few extra features and control also than HP did.

I will be buying another printer soon, and will definitely look into a mfg's
claim of W2k compatibility. Partial Compatibiltiy is what should be stated
with a setup like HP's for the 820.
