Use System Properties to move your Windows virtual memory swap file to the D
or E drive. Then get a copy of Magic Mover or some similar program to move
some of your installed applications to a different partition. If you can't
get a copy of Magic mover, you can also uninstall some applications and
re-install them to the D: or E: partition.

Windows 95 and 98 are notorious for slowing down when the partition housing
the swap file is full.

Subject: [PCBUILD] Speed vs no movement (relatively)

My 1998 DELL Dimension Computer has several hard drives: C,D,E and F. C
is where all new programs seem to go so it is pretty full with about 2 MB
of space remaining. D & E are not full at all and F is rather full.
(whack)
What can I do to speed up my computer so I do not have to wait 2 minutes
to get the curser to move as it finishes the last command, such as copying
5 short words)?

Thanks

Karen Miller
