Is it possible to send printer codes/escape sequences from a DOS Window C:
prompt to an InkJet Printer. If so what is the sequence for 'Condensed
Print' and 'Non Condensed Print'. Are they standard for all printers?

I'm using an old Dos program and need to set the printer for 'Condensed
Print' to run a report on one page. Otherwise I have to change to legal size
paper. I can't recall the exact sequence but I used to be able to do this
with an old Dot Matrix printer. From the Dos prompt I would enter the
commands "Copy CON: PRN:". I would then enter the printer code/escape
sequence followed by "Control Z or Function Key 6" for "End of FIle". The
printer would then print in "Condensed Print" until it received a reset
sequence or was turned off/on. I can't recall what the codes were and don't
have a printer manual.

Thank You,
