If the OP needs to run the old OS image on the new hardware, it
is also possible to "adapt" the old Win2k/XP image with a
registry hack per:

http://www.mostlycreativeworkshop.com/Article11.html

I managed this rather painlessly with a W2k image 2
months ago. YMMV.
