Let us not forget Quantum Bigfoot hard drives. http://www.pricewatch.com
lists their 6.4 gig hard drive for $123. I don't have any personal
experience with these _yet_ but do know of three people who are ordering
them very soon. Unless anyone has any words of warning about these?
Personally I have a WD 3.2 gig and know of a few other WD's which have
operated flawlessly for over a year and one which has been running for 3
years without any troubles.
That salesman was just trying his best to not make a sale wasn't he.
take care
