Hi!

Did you mean Restore Advanced Setting in number 3. I don't find a Restore
Defaults as an option?

For an XP Machine you have to do the following:

1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Click on Tools, then Internet Options.
3. Click on the Advanced Tab and Restore Defaults.
4. Click on the Reset Web Settings button and restore them to their
original settings.
5. Go back to the General tab and reset your homepage.

Then re-boot 'n you're done.

For the Record, I did this twice in three days. (Different machines.)

on my laptop computer Antivirus XP 2008. I am unsure how this came about but
it has definitely infected my computer. I have an updated Norton Antivirus so
I would have thought this would have protected me. How do I go about getting
rid of this virus? So far Norton has popped up and fixed everything or so it
said but this Antivirus XP 2008 is still on the computer. I am able to use
the internet and Microsoft Outlook Express. I am using Windows XP Media
Center. My desktop is blurry and this virus program keeps popping up in the startup
tray.> > Thank you for your assistance.> > Alice > > > PCBUILD's List
