Thanks Sven, for the Firmware info. I went there and upgraded the firmware,
but unfortunately is still will not recognize the blank disc, an error
message comes up that says "E:\ is not accessible Incorrect function"

Thanks for your help

Hi Stephan,

Try updating the drive firmware. Most firmware updates are to enable drives
to recognize new media. Here is a link to the Lite-On IT USA download page
for your drive. Be sure to check the "How to upgrade firmware?" link for
instructions.

Subject: [PCBUILD] Lite-on 48161H combo drive

I use a Lite-On 48161H combo CDR Drive in my Micron Computer. I won't
recognize certain CD-R media. I put a HP CD-R 48X 700MB Blank into the drive
and it does not open or recognize it. Is this a Lite-On issue or system
issue? This drive is a 48x and works with Sony and Memorex media, but not HP
or Verbatim media.
Any clue?

Thank you,

Stephan P.
