Jim,

It depends on how the DOS code was written. I cannot think of a particular
DOS program that I have not been able to run in Win2k. The problem is, you
never know until you test it. Do you have a machine that you can run a test
on? You may have to dink with memory and environment settings.

Also, if they only have three workstations and it doesn't look like they
will expand any time soon, you might want to suggest Win2k Professional.
You can peer up to 10 workstations with it, and it would be much less
expensive. Especially considering you wouldn't have to purchase a separate
seat license for each workstation.

Good luck!

Subject: [PCBUILD] Windows 2000 Server

Hello,
I am currently quoting a price to a customer for a server and 3
workstation network. The customer wants Windows 2000 Server and Windows ME
for the workstations. The main software the office uses for billing and
bookkeeping is a DOS based program. I have looked all over Microsoft's web
site and I can not find any information if Windows 2000 Server and Windows
ME supports DOS programs. Does anyone know or have any experience with this
situation??
Thanks for your help
