The AMD site has some excellent installation information available on-line. 
Start here:

and select the page appropriate to your CPU. In addition to some well written 
materials, in many cases they also have videos that will ease a lot of the 
stress. (Been there, got the T-shirt, and haven't blown anything up -- so 
far.)
