Hi,
  The difference is the speed rating. DDR memory has the memory bus speed
multiplied by 16 (8 bits per byte, times 2 for the Double Data Rate
(DDR)...regular SDRAM just has the memory bus speed, i.e. PC100, or PC133).
PC2100 (divided by 16) runs at a maximum rated bus speed of 131.25 (133Mhz),
PC2700 is good for 168.75 (166Mhz).
