Two video cards are good, but they use 2 slots, and all-in-one
solution (like Riva TNT) provides slightly less performance at
lower cost and takes only one slot.

On the subject of games, "it depends". For example, older
Civilization runs on any card, even Trident 256k :) ,but there is
a difference to make : games that use prerendered images (Civ,
Transport Tycoon, etc.) can run on any card; games that render
the scene "on the fly" (like Transport Tycoon 2 : their ad says
300.000 polygons at the screen at any moment) MUST use a 3d accelerator
to achieve good framerate.
