Hello Everyone,

I've just resubscribed to PCBUILD after a rather long hiatus away from the
mailing list and from PCs in general while attending to other pressing
aspects of life's business. Most of those issues now resolved, I'm happy to
say I've got some free time again to reacquaint myself with what's been
happpening in the world of PC hardware and software.

First up now that I'm back is rebuilding a desktop PC for a friend and I'll
be needing to purchase a PCI NIC to connect his computer to the rest of the
world via Verizon DSL. I'm looking for a NIC that reliable, a good performer
under W2K Professional and a great value. Any recommendations as to brand,
model and vendor?

Thanks in advance for your advice; it's good to be back!

Kind regards,
Jeffrey Ottie
