Hi, I'm wondering if your cdrom may need cleaning with a cd lens cleaner.
Also, have you tried swapping the power supply connector over to check that
particular connection has got power? I would try that.
Also, make sure you do a full virus scan (I would do that first), just in
case something has got into your system.
Try those simple things to start with, and let us know how you get on.- Good
luck!
Michele Sayer.

I sent an e-mail 4/20/03 regarding the problem I am having with my cd rom
and recieved a reply from Michele Sayer stating that I should check the
connections which I did.
My computer is a E-machine 333CS running Win. 98. Last January I replaced
the power supply and had not tried the cd rom until a couple of weeks ago
and when I inserted a cd the little green light flashed and it clicked four
times like it was starting then stopped. When I tried to access it through
the control panel I got a message saying "D:\ is not accessible the drive is
not ready".
Somebody please help me !!!!!! I can't get an answer
anywhere, I looked through all of the archives to no avail.
Thanks
Paul
