I have the following configuration in a dtk
celeron 333
 64 mb
MOBO PRM 0076I E1
HDD fuj 4.3 GB
video card CL 5465 AGP
Now I am adding a soundblaster Vibra 16XV and a GVC 33.6 internal modem.
The modem seems to be working OK. I tested it offline with win95 osr2,
however the sound card plays good th CDs but the windows sounds last only
half a second and when you start a sound with the play arrow of the sound
icon in control panel, the play arrow remains grey and never returns to be
black, as if the sound never stops( really not audible). Only when I
manually stop the playing, the play arrow comes back to be black.
I dont see any apparent conflict between the i/o address or Interuptions of
the two cards, modem and sound. However as soon as I take out the modem
card, the sound card stars working OK.
I tried with other sound card, the same model,  and the mistery remained.
Pleae help me and excuse me if the question is very large.
