Wendy,

Try the web site http://www.bootdisk.com. Having someone send you a Win3.1
download is technically illegal.

Subject: [PCBUILD] Windows 3.1 disk #1 not readable

Hi Everyone,
I know this has been posted before, but I am trying to load Windows 95
(upgrade) on a small hard drive (too small for Windows 98) and my Windows
3.1
disk #1 is not reading. I know there is a 'dummy' text file, I think, that
will fool Windows 95, but I can't remember what it is. Can anyone out there
help with that?? Is there anyway I can get a replacement for Disk #1
(hopefully downloaded)?? I'm not sure Win 95 will even load on this small
drive, but it's for my dad and he only wants it for playing card games, etc.
So, if I have to, I will just load 3.1, but I still need disk #1. Any help
will be greatly appreciated.

TIA,
Wendy Brown
