Had a similar problem turned out that the system would not recognize the type
of mouse I wanted to use? Got another mouse of a different brand and it work
on that system. The one which would not work on one system worked just fine
on my other two computers. Had this happen with a Belkin mouse and a
Microsoft mouse that was supposed to be a PS-2? Sometimes might just be you
systems choice as to what it likes. Go Figure, I gave up and just switched
the mouse.
