I am upgrading  a 486 DOS PC with a new Pentium / motherboard  running
WIn98. The 486 had a EIDE hard drive with a SyQuest EZDrive as a slave.
First I had the hard drive on the primary...a new CD ROM on the secondary
...Win98 installed and everything running well. Then I installed the
SyQuest portable drive.

First I put it as a slave to the Hard drive.
The Bios sees it ....there is no drive in the SyQuest.....the computer
starts to boot and Win98 stops loading with a general protection fault.
please restart your computer. Next I tried running with the Hard drive
alone on the master and the SyQuest as a Master to the slave CD
ROM......same general protection fault. Finally I tried the hard drive as a
Master on primary and the SyQuest as a master on secondary....same problem.

What am I doing wrong.? How am I suppose to set this up in Win98 ??
