I had a similar problem some years back, it turned uot to be the disk drive being slightly mis-aligned. This problem occurs quite frequently because the original disks are made on different drives. therefore they do not all match the alignment of each other, which is the root of the problem. You may have a spare drive or be able to borrow one from a friend or aquaintance to see if it helps.
